Theres actually a few apps on the android phone that will act as a dash cam. the one ive been playing with will keep up to a five minute buffer and its a simple tap and save. (as a video maker as well its a nice option instead of having to pore through hrs of footage looking for that exciting part.) also has g force sensor for if theres an impact. I'm planning on using it to make a video once i start driving in the summer. If you got/ want to get a smart phone its a cheep an easy route to go.
