good day drivers,
got a question. I have two offers in front of me to drive.
1. one company which has been around for 20 years has offered me to be company driver for .41c mile plus picks and drops with as many miles as i wish. They treated me like gold and have put me in a 2011 pete.
or
2. smaller company which is its first year of business. Also new truck and trailer, but paying me guaranteed in writing salary of $4000 NET each month. only prob is the owner has bad reputation both when googling his name, when going to the government court file and seeing up to 12 cases against him including bankrupting another trucking outfit and not paying his staff to two people who know him first hand saying STAY AWAY
SO...smaller unknown company with higher pay that should pay as promised hopefully....OR larger well established good name out there company that pays less??
Need advice

Go with the company with the proven record.

Will #2 pay you in advance? Sounds like he may difficult to collect from after the fact. Regarding # 1, seems you make just as much at $0.41 CPM as a company driver if they have the freight to keep you rolling.
Hmmmmmmmmmmm???? Solid company or flake?

Id go with the 2011 Pete and the .41 cents over the guarnteed stuff no doubt. Shoudnt be hard to reach a grand with the drop pay and such
-
thanks all...yea i think i am leaning towards the .41 cent job

I choose option #1

Yeah #1 sounds a lot more interesting!

Number 2 Doesnt sound much like a ( GUARANTEE) !

Number 2 strikes me as a reason you'll be wanting to get friendly with an attorney down the line.
I'd kick the middle man (attorney) out of the deal, and go with number 1. -
I'd pick Door #1

One in the hand is always two in the bush ! Door #1 for me.... !!
