We run trucks in Southern Africa.
Down south the high ways are A grade.
In the DRC and Central African Republic we transverse roads like that in the rainy season.(Not by choice).
Only certain trucks and drivers are sent up there though.
Seen trucks sink in the mud so deep that drivers have to climb out the window.
In 2008 there were over 150 trucks bogged down in a 10 mile stretch.

How do you work out the rate per mile on roads like that.

i dont have any idea for how long is that part of "road" with such condition but i am curious is it more profitable to build road than to waste so many fuel and tires and also different breakdowns

btw do you guys know how much cost that system for tire inflation

i heard this one from brazil is really cheap

You are right! Drivers in the US wouldn't have a clue how to drive in Brasil and would probably get into some accident on the first day. Brazilian drivers may be crazy, don't obey any law, laws are not enforced, roads are in terrible shape, no signalization, bad equipment, drivers have no common sense, chaotic traffic, way too many vehicles, buses, cars, trucks, bicycles, bikes, animals, people on the roads, streets, etc... But they can be great drivers in the US because it's soooooooooo much easier to drive here compared to there. Remember that IRT in India? That driver (can't remember his name) had 2 or 3? accidents on the first day.... :biggrin_25523: Trying to drive in India like he drives in Canada.... :biggrin_25523:
