most of our trucks have 120-140gallon tanks and all of our trucks should get at least 6.5 mpg

well range has nothing to do with when you fuel, companies route you to truck stops to fuel, so you may put 50 gallons in at one truck stop and then 6 hours later top off at another lol. It all depends on where the cheapest fuel is.

AT allow me to correct you, my company tells me where to stop for fuel if I need it if not keep going they give me a list of places to fuel but not the amount ettc. Pretty cool, they don't route us either. Take care. TD24

When Curt did our orientation for fuel, he told us there are 5% of the trucks that can't get the expected fuel mileage no matter how much you finesse... and 5% that will likely get it even with less careful driving.

Our truck isn't expected to get more than 7.0... with a low end of 5.8. We're currently at the low end, but that is at least partially due to me learning how to shift properly.

    Just sayin'. :biggrin_25517:

ok, so if i am understanding correctly, companies will give you a list of locations (per state?) or around the country where you can stop for fuel? or is that a list along your expected route?
