Well it's been a very busy 4 days and I'm just finding the time to up date this thread. So far Schneider has surpasses my expectations. The training staff is top notch. They really intend for you to succeed. We will finish up on Friday and then get hooked up with a trainer.

im in green bay right now in orientation. i should be hired on the 21st. im running the dedicated target run out of cedar falls,ia
Chesty Thanks this. -
Jennifer says you haven't got time for all of that. She needs to get you rolling now.
j/k
Yea, I felt the same coming out of orientation. Regardless of what others may say, I don't think Schneider is a bad company at all. There are some things I don't like, but the good outweighs the bad all day long.Chesty Thanks this. -
Hey Bigcove thanks for all the info. We got our driver numbers today and am waiting for our trainer. He is meeting us at the Charlotte OC on Monday. We had another question. Did you ever find yourself at home during the week for a 10 hr break? Also what's the route from Mt. Juliet to Laredo? Thanks
-
On the 10 hour break, never unless there is not a load available at the time.
From Mt. Juilet:
I-840 towards I-40;
I-40 west through Nashville.
(normally scale at Dickson Pilot Exit 172 - if load questionable on weight then scale in Lebanon Pilot, we only did this once)
Fuel West Memphis OC
I-40 west to Little Rock
I-440 around Little Rock exit 159
I-440 to I-30 west
depending on hours swap at T/A exit 44 Prescott, AR (NEVER stop at Loves exit 46, it is 1 hour in and out for congestion)
I-30 west to I-635 to I-20 west to I-35E south.
I-35E to I-35 south to Laredo exit 8 (Do not miss this exit or you could find yourself going into Mexico.)
Fuel in Laredo OC also, they have an axle scale at the Laredo OC.
You will pass the Dallas OC on I-20 in Dallas, we rarely stopped there, but it is available.
Fuel will last from West Memphis to Laredo; Laredo West Memphis. West Memphis to points in middle Tennessee and back to West Memphis. You can fuel at any Pilot, but normally only Laredo and West Memphis for fuel.
When you get to Laredo, make sure you have glad hand grommets. Many times they are missing from the trailer you pick up. You can get them from the fuel desk or maintenance at any OC. Also from the trailer check station inspector at Laredo OC.
One more thing, exit 101 on I-35 Pearsal, TX is a good place to swap or get a little food.
When you go through the border patrol check station heading north on I-35 from Laredo back north, you and your partner need to be awake to tell the officer you are both US citizens. This is no big deal and we never had any problems, but it is part of the process and sucks for the one asleep. This is about the 27 mm. All vehicles going north have to go through it.
If you want my phone number for questions, just ask and I will PM it. -
Sitting in the Hotel for now waiting on our TE.

-
I'll tell you tomarrow but I do believe they do hair folical testing. lots of places are going that way, tests back 6months
-
They took my hair samples before I went to orientation.
