you can also Avoid using the Phone Cable all together..

If your phone is Bluetooth enabled you can buy a USB bluetooth adaptor from Wal-Mart for $20.00 and you can leave your Cell phone on the charger and it will be wirelessly connected to your laptop and never go dead

Alternately; Sprint sells USB DATA Cables that fit ALL Samsung phones (about $24) that has a 2.5mm jack for the charger to plug into.

If you had one you would know that the phone automatically charges thru the USB cable.

I do have one it Came with My Samsung A920 but it just pluged into the bottom of the cell phone and it was too wide for me to plug my cigarette charger into... so i wasn't aware that there was a different charger, but i wouldn't go back to the cord i love being able to connect with bluetooth and just leaving the phone on the charger and out of the way

I am wondering where you got the drivers to turn the phone into a modem.

I have been using my phone as a modem for about 5 years (before I bought this Broadband card), and NONE of them charged the phone thru the USB cord (until I bought the one specifically made with a charger port)

My Verizon phone works great for my PDA......as long as I'm in the Verizon network....If I'm on the Extended Network...I can't use it as a modem. But, then again, I don't pay for any kind of data service.....I hacked it and all it does is charges me for my minutes......and on Nights & Weekends.......IT'S FREE!!! Gotta love it.
