Anyone have any insight???? I've read the good, bad and the ugly about company schools. Swift is near home and seems to have fewer complaints than other western US companies, such as England in UT.
Thinking about training with Swift...

I didn't go through Swift for my school, but if you do you will at least be trained the way they want you to drive.
I've had experience with some of their instructors when I did the Local Close Quarters Training, and they seemed very good. James in Fontana, especially.
And so far, Swift seems to be a very good company to start out with - or even to stay with. I get plenty of miles, and usually have a pre-plan before I deliver my current load.
I have a very good DM, she watches out for me. And the guy I mentored with has been with Swift for 6 years, and has no plans to leave. -
I went to the Millington academy and just got off my mentors truck and upgraded to solo today. I thought the school was excellent. All of the instructors were oldtimer MS Carrier drivers and did a really great job. You have to spend 35 hours just backing before you even move on to road training. Of course now comes the real test, will they get me miles and keep me moving, can't comment on that since I'm on my way back to my home terminal to get a truck.
