Are there any specific places to look for some work for a 2 axle truck? There's a truck for sale for dirt cheap locally that I'm contemplating purchasing but I'd like to see if I could keep it busy first. Thanks in advance.

Can always add a tag axle if frame is long enough or put a cut off on it fairly cheap.

I run a two axle Peterbilt. I seem to find plenty of work and stay busy. Once in awhile I do run into being stuck somewhere due to weight issues but not to often. As Cummins 444 said you can add a tag axle if possible which is a good idea. I recently bought one but havent got it mounted yet. I found with my mechanical engine the only way to get decent mileage was to run a single axle. I get pretty good mileage and generally run pretty light with my stepdeck.
Are you going to run under your own authority or are you looking to lease to someone? What truck are you looking at? -
Your in AG country. Talk to the local farmers in the area. Roy E. Lay/Arbuckle, Button/Dixon. I know there are others around, breakout the yellow pages and make cold calls.
