hosted by companies that will take someone with misdemeanor and felony convictions. Which companies for sure do this. All I can find is "apply", or more than 3 years, 5,7, and 10 years old. What is the truth? I need to change careers due to a new family. Someone honest please help.
There are many claims on here about truck driving schools

Very hard to get a driving job with a misdemeanor, however the older the better and it does depend on the charge. Almost impossable with a felony no matter how old. The companies that will hire you I can say with a certian amount of confidence that you will probably not want to work for them. I know you may not like hearing this but I wish you luck on your search.

Look, it doesn't matter if a school will take you with a misdemeanor or felony. Many schools will take your money (or grant money) regardless of your record and tell you it's okay. The problem is whether you'll be able to be hired.
-
Exactly, Texas Nana... the school doesn't matter - in fact, someone with any kind of record is really messing up by going to a school without a good job prospect, since you might waste your money and time and not have a job when you're done.
Texas-Nana Thanks this. -
How about traffic tickets? Such as: 1 (1.9yr old) Exceeding posted speed limit ticket? Got it 8 days before my Birthday. Took the schooling and removed points within 1-2 weeks of the ticket. Would this effect me?
No felony's, or misdemeanors. Just 1 ticket that would be 2 years old by the time I get my CDL.
(Sorry to hijack your thread, just a tiny question) -
Really depends on how much you exceeded the speed limit BY...
-
Uhh, I have my MVR report. Doesn't say on it unless I am misreading.
-
How much over were you? I'll ask the question that way. Believe me, a trucking company can find out, since their insurance company will want to know.
-
Ronin, I really do not remember. I do know it wasn't much over posted speed limit. Within 5-15 miles over. But it was a #### speed trap, and the sign had been hit the day before. (I know that doesn't matter any more) but surely this should not effect me majorly as I haven't received a ticket since or warning (other then car registration)

Under 10 isn't really a problem, over 10 is... and 15 gets you disqualified - that's why it matters so much.
