Everyone complaining and concerned, we all should band together and contact our local congressional representatives.

Well, I don't know how much they really care about enforcment on them here. There is this truck stop in Nacogdoches, TX that has a little Mexican restaurant attached to it. The Mexican drivers like to hang out here. They go over to the gas station side and buy beer then come have their menudo and shrimp ####tails while chasing the waittresses.
Well, one night my wife and I were eating there and a driver leaves pretty buzzed. We left shortly after he did and when I got to the parking lot I noticed he was having trouble getting his truck out. He was pulling a flat bed with either bad locking jaws on the fifth wheel or a bad release lever because when he tried to leave he had partially uncoupled and dropped his trailer. Well I went to try and stop him (knowing he was drunk) with no success. Dude spoke maybe 5 words of English.
I went and got an American driver to ask him to help me stop this loon and he tried to talk to him too but the guy blew us off. Well he managed to lift his trailer enough to recouple and then left to drive off again. I told him neither him nor the truck was safe and if he left I was calling the cops. He blew me off and went to pull out so I started dialing. Well, when he had uncoupled he'd pulled the air lines off so he drove out dragging the trailer down the road, tires locked and smoking.
I called TX DPS and when I told the dispatcher about it she asked for plates and a description. When I told her I didn't catch the truck plate but the trailer was from Tamaulipas she seemed to lose interest. She just thanked me and said they'd look into it. We took the same route he'd left on when we left and there weren't any trucks pulled over between Nacogdoches and Lufkin (home). Theres about 20 miles between the two and DOT is very active there, they even have an inspection station. -
