Team starting out with US Xpress

My background is sales management and I was able to get both Sage and USTDS to agree to accept the $3,500 WIA money as payment in full including the cost of the CDL license fees. Call any companies you are interested in applying to and ask them if they are ok with the school you decide to choose. Just don't leave anything to chance.

 

So we are still in Tunnel Hill. I hope the truck will be done today. When I called yesterday they said they had it all torn apart and were waiting on parts that they expected in the afternoon. We will see. We are having a wonderful time hanging out with the kids and grandkids but we are getting very antsy to get rolling again.

To keep myself busy, I drove the USX shuttle van the last two days on the evening shift (4 PM to Midnight) It is actually pretty fun and you get time to meet a bunch of drivers. On that note I met another TTR member last night, Spaces1965. Pretty cool and good luck to her today on day three of orientation. She figures out who I was when I picked her up from Walmart.

My master plan is to ask my Fleet Manager for a load to Central or South Florida. The Shuttle launches on Friday for the second to last time and I have dreamed of seeing a launch since the first one in 1980. Fingers crossed on that one.

 

We are STILL waiting on parts for the truck. This is killing me. Just sent a message to our FM asking for a new truck. We will see.

 

I just may have mentioned it before, but I LOVE this company. We just walked into Kens office and told him about our truck. He told us to call our Fleet Manager to get a rental car and we are going to get our stuff out of the old truck to take it to Ellenwood to get our new truck. He also said he would get us in a hotel for tonight.

This business, like all businesses,is all about relationships and treating people the way you would like to be treated. Every time I hear a driver complain about being treated badly it usually comes down to how they began the conversation.
