Hey all still trying to figure out why I have low boost on a 5ek factory 475. I've had the turbo checked, put new cac boots on, tried pinching the wastegate, changed the boost sensor and changed the fuel filters. It will only get 18 lbs of boost in a pull and is very sluggish but the weird thing is if you come to a stop after driving for a while an take off again it will get its normal 25 pounds of boost but only for 30 seconds or so. Seems like maybe not enough fuel? it runs perfectly smooth an never smokes any color anytime an throws no codes. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Can be a crack in the inter-cooler.
Only opens up when it heats up due to absorbing heat from the hot compressed air.
Once flow stops the crack seals up again till it heats up again giving you the 30 seconds with out boost leakage.

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge in the final filter housing ? , if not put a gauge on to monitor it while you are running it , see what changes when you have boost and when you don't have boost . You said it's a 5EK so I'm guessing its in an older tractor. I would be leaning towards swollen fuel lines as being your problem.

Thanks for the help so far I'll have to pressure check the CAC. today i drove with a fuel pressure guage hooked up an it stayed at 60 the whole time no matter what boost. (50 at idle) is that kinda low??? I"ve replaced all the fuel lines except the small one that goes from one side of motor to other

Is your CAC plugged by any chance? Check for dirt or lots of bugs. I may just need a good cleaning.

Charge air cooler and air to air intercooler are interchangeable terms I believe...Mack was one of the first to use an air to air... that's what they call 'em around here to this day...
