Take that tick to your doctor;if it's a deer tick he will put you on antibiotics in case the tick has the bacteria to cause lyme disease. You don't want to risk getting lyme disease;there are real serious complications that can occur. We had to put 2 dogs to sleep after they had renal failure due to lyme disease. Tell tale indicator of lyme disease is a bulls eye rash near the tick bite and flue like symptoms.
Four wheels Thanks this. -
Well, I'm glad to say I got the tick removed! A little bit "ticked" about the hassle, but he's outta my life now. Thanks.

I hate ticks...........only had one. In the south they check themselves every time they shower for the lil buggers.

A cotton ball soaked in dish soap is supposed to encourage them to let go. I tried it, and it did make the tick squirm, but I still had to pull it out. At least the head came out with it.

I've read somewhere that you should never ever remove a tick with your fingers or use petroleum jelly, alcohol, nail polish, etc. It just makes them mad. A provoked tick will attach more firmly to its host. It also stressed how some will recommend showering after your tick exposure. And it tells you that certainly you're not going to wash off any self-respecting tick. They do this for a living and they're ****** good at it!

A good sharp pocket knife, and if they are in there really good I usaully get some skin removed while digging them out. It only hurts for a little while. If you don't like pocket kinfes the toe nail clippers will do the job.
