    I was released from my doc. from a total knee replacement in 03/11. I was prescribed vicodin. I know if I take a hair test it will show, If just a urine sample it will not. what type of documents do I need to bring to orientation? I dont have the script bottles anymore. A note from the doc stating what? any info would be helpful.
    I just dont want to screw up my dac by not passing the hair test

    20 years of pre-employment and random drug tests and I've never had a them use hair.

    They doing that nowadays?

    no im not on anything..was just looking into companies and saw alot are doing hair testing, The last thing I want to do is screw up my dac.From what I have read the hair test goes back 90 days and I was just released the end of march 11 so I know the test will pop positive. Just want to make sure I cross all my T's and dot all my I's so i dont have any issues

    Oxycodine occording to info online will clear from your urine in less than a week.Just to make sure buy a kit from the drug store and check before you get drug tested at the job.If your hair gets tested you have doctors scripts that approved your usage of vics so there is no problem with you as the piss test will be clean.

    Im really not worried about the urine test...just took one to do my refresher course. Its have the right documents from the doc. that he prescribed me the meds. Just need to know what exactly I need from him. Like I had said before, I know how dac and companies are and really do not want to mess it up. I guess I will call my head hunter and find out from him what I need

    Question...how do they do a hair test if you're bald? Just curious because I started shaving my head when my forehead turned into a fivehead lol. I used to be a user but cleaned myself up, totally quit everything, and turned my life around. I'm starting training soon. I can piss clean easily but don't know about this hair thing. I quit a couple months ago but I don't want my past to screw up my future.

    I would talk to the companies you are wanting to go to ahead of time. So they know before cant fail you if you dont take the test. Cover your butt because they dont care about you.

    How fast does head hair grow?

    Hair collected at the crown of the head grows on the average of approximately 1.3 cm (or 1/2 inch) per month. This growth rate varies among people by approximately + .2 cm per month which can create a possible time variation of up to +1 week per month.

    Body hair can be drug tested just as hair from the head. The growth rates for body are considerably slower than the hair from your head. Most body hair is replaced in about one year. It is challenging to precisely represent the time period of a standard screen with body hair so substances may be detected in body hair for up to 1 year after the substance left the blood stream.

    A standard screen with GC/MS confirmation requires 40+ milligrams of hair or approximately 50 - 70 strands that are up to 3.9cm (or 1.5 inches) in length. The thickness and pigment color of different types of head hair (thick black vs. thinning gray) is the basis of this variation.
