haven't decided how well i like it yet. it cuts out a lot of noise but it also cuts out some weaker radios a few miles out.

What transistor did you use and which diodes got replaced?
I'm thinking of not doing the one for the anl/nb circuit. I've heard the stock glass ones used there work quite well and to not replace it. Then I've heard of guys replacing it and not complaining either.
This is the first I've heard of weaker signals getting cut out. Actually the second. It's suppose to do the opposite obviously.

I MEASURED my mod before and after it was .7 UV before and .4 UV after
With the 2sc1674 swap to a 2sc2229 ... you shoud have seen a increase in station readings.

Measure was done with a IFR-1200S which is in calabration.

The one other case I heard of this happening put one of the stock diodes back in and all was good. I'm thinking of doing just the transistor first then maybe 1 diode at a time. There's 3 on mine that are to be replaced. 1 of them is the anl/nb.
