Hi guys, I'm new to this, I've just opened a computer repair center inside a truck stop in North Carolina. Not being a trucker myself I'm trying to learn what you guys need, what you use, what you expect? I know you guys use tech gadgets and I know they lead a hard life on the road.
I'm willing to answer questions. How can I help? How can I be of service to you guys? The common answer I'm hearing is just "be open and be reasonable priced"
Suggestions welcomed and I'll happily cater where I can to you folks.

I'd think the biggest thing would to get it done quick. We can't drop stuff off and pick it up days later as we never know where we're going to be.
-
I see that point as well... What about hours? I know you guys all keeo different schedules. -
That's hard to say. You'll have to see how much business you get during which hours. Definitely in the evenings when the place fills up.
-
You would probably have to work at night, reinstalling an OS could take hours.

Windows XP, yeah, that's the case. But Vista or Windows 7 can take as little as fifteen minutes to install. Putting all the applications and programs back is the trickiest part, especially if the customer doesn't have the install media with him.
To the original poster; power cords, usb cables, and other parts I can't find on the road would be helpful.
You could probably make a bit of money refurbishing laptops and selling them. Just an idea. -
Being well versed in virus removal from clicking those "questionable" links... heheheheee
