    Thanks LostNFound.
Don't have time to dig up the study, but I heard about it on one of the talk-radio shows by one of the doctor's on the progressive radio network archive. It keeps me occupied while driving.
I quit sodas too, a few years back. I was so addicted. I NEEDED those few cans a day, just to relax and feel comfortable at work, to handle the stress, but I quit cold turkey too. It was hell for 2 weeks, just like the other guy said, but boy, now that I'm clean, I don't feel bad at work, don't feel nearly as stressed, and don't need a soda to make me feel better, cause I feel good by default. Sodas are very addictive. Good point, Swaps.

The Isoprop may not have killed you, but if you do a quick search on it, and the teachings of Hulda Clark, which I have found to be true, many believe that chemical alone is the biggest cause of cancer. Hulda explains how and what to do about it in her books. If your body is not affected, more power to you.

LostNFound summed up my point well. This idea that I seem litigous, or have to have a certain point comes across to me as nonsensical. LostNFound obviously got it, and that's what counts. Guys like him. I'm not here to argue about symantics or suppositions. I'd like to understand more about this "point" concept and how that works, if it can be made sense of, which I suspect not.

He does speak the truth. He's a canary. Miners used to take canaries down in the mines with them because the canaries were ultra sensitive to hidden gases, pollutants, and such. They had a lower threshold for toxin exposure than the humans so when they went into a new mine and the canaries started acting sick (or died) the miners knew it was time to get out. Healthy people aren't gonna notice all the toxins and pollutants your'e exposed to around a truck but that doesn't mean they're not having an effect.

Maybe.....Just maybe, The OP isn't cut out for trucking. If you're that sensitive to all of these things...I guess it sucks to be you.
After 38 years in this business I am not a big fat guy, I have no breathing problems, I sleep like a rock (even when it's noisy outside).

Most of the big fat guys in this industry are fat because of eating to ###### much and not getting much exercise.
Most of the guys with heart and lung problems probably smoke.
Many people can sleep in any environment and many people can't..It's the way life is, Not everyone's the same.

If you don't think you have enough food choices on the road....You're not thinking very hard because there are PLENTY of places to get good healthful food out here...If all you do is graze all day at the truckstop buffet, You're an idiot!

Noise shuts down your immune system?

There was a study that proved that?

If I look hard enough, I can find a study that proves just about anything I want to prove.
I have been in noisy environments all my life...I was in a rock band in high school that played so loud that it was painful, I have ridden motorcycles with loud pipes since I was a kid, I have driven a truck since I was 18 years old, I've been married 4 times (way louder than a rock band)

My immune system is fine....I hardly ever get sick!

Here's an idea....Go home and lock yourself in your house and learn how to live without breathing or hearing anything and and don't eat!

    Truckin' aint for sissies!

i have met people who claim to get sick from something in freightliner upholstery or plastic---some people get hypersensitive to some things--but usually chemicals or oils and they need years of exposure generally--hydraulic oil and other chemicals in aviation are known to do this
but --i guess it depends on the individual---i can sleep with old reefer unit hammering away behind me--hell i can sleep in the seat of a d-8 idling away---and the only things that every got me queezy in the truck were my own farts--but it easy to roll down a window--my guess is for the o/p to maybe do something else--like........... well what ever you can do in a bubble i guess

I won't criticize the OP for any health-related issues he may have. I know of people who are hypersensitive to such things.

But if these concerns are genuine, I'd be looking for another line of work.

I also seldom get sick. The last time I was sick, I got it from my then infant grandson...some general yuck that little ones have, and he passed it on to grandpa. But in general, being away from people has allowed me to be sick less often.
