I had a headlight out, turned out to be a short in the wire somewhere under the radiator, they fixed that and a wheel seal they said had the breaks wet but I never did see it, and fixed a leaking air fitting on the governor. $280 that they took out of my sign on bonus.
for some reason today just after I left the shop with it the tracktor abs light came on. wonder what they messed up?

 

Ya, you wouldn't think what they did would cause that. They didn't dry out your brake that had oil on it did they? A very slim possibility, but maybe they knocked the sensor loose or something.

 

Congrats which program are you on mileage or choice

 

my brother drives for "BIG ORANGE" and he says the EOBRS are a pain, he gets woken up at night with his dispachers/driver managers asking him why he is not driving. its time to go they say times up break is over.. a friend drives for swift and gets the same with his qualcomm..

 

Never had that happen, but, ya, it's a pain. I still kept paper logs, and comparing the two, the pain didn't make up for the 15minutes or so it would "save" me in a week.
The only thing I could say that might be causing that problem, is not entering the times correctly. Not saying your brother is screwing up, just making an honest mistake. It took me a bit before I didn't screw it up, as much I might add.

 

Tell your brother to turn the volume all the way down before he goes to bed lol. I know I made that mistake my first trip out by leaving the volume up during my dot break. Nothing like being woken up to a loud "you have a new message" being blasted into your ears lol

 

well being an owner operator I told them not to connect my QC to my truck speakers. actually the built in speaker doesn't work either and that's just fine by me. there is enough lights to tell me when there is a message. And nobody will ever tell me to wake up and get driving or it may be the last thing they do. there is a reason I own my trucks.

the logs suck... Today I40 was flooded out east of little rock. The detour was like 150mi long which leaves me a half hour from my #### house out of hours. To say i'm unhappy is an understatement. this is going to take some getting used to for me. I've never had any of this crap before

 

Just curious...does the truck shut down when the computer says your out of hours???

 

no.... it just drops your lease into the shreader back at the office

they will allow you to run when you're on your 10 if a cop tells you that you have to move. just need his badge number and get escorted by him. so that tells me no it doesn't shut your truck off... I haven't actually tried to find out for myself

 

Nope lol But 1 hour past your 11 and and you get msg every 5 minutes say you need to find safe and legal parking Immediately. Nobody's said a word to me about it
