Thank you Injun I was hoping it would not come to this point but I have had enough of it. Do you think switching to the Lancaster terminal will do any good?
I actually live closer to Lancaster and was told after 60 days I could make the switch. I got a little upset today about the breakdown pay because they are refusing to pay it and Dm says call payroll anfd payroll says you have to call your DM. back and forth all day. -
Here Az. There a few jobs that you could hook up. I thought u live closer to Az.

Switching to Lancaster might be a good idea. I believe Lancaster plans that area anyway. If you are "one of theirs" you might see more positive results.
Breakdown pay: Payroll can't give it to you without authorization. Since your DM is running you around in circles, talk to the Fleet Manager about it. You have to be your own best advocate here.scottied67 Thanks this. -
Well finally got to go by Walmart and get me some food for the truck and other things while I waited for a load. Even took my first nap since I have been out here.
Got me some candy and beef jerky and that seemed to calm me down a little. Finally a pre-plan comes across going from 100 miles away from me to Stockton California. Nice until you look at the delivery dates. Three stops and nine days to get there. Nine days!
Well naturally I declined that one and did not get no smart remark or you have to take this it was just pulled from me. Then around 5PM after waiting for 12 hours I finally get a 1100 mile run with 200 to pick up.
The only issue is it does not pick up until today 5/10 at 6PM and has to be delivered Thursday. So I sit another another 18 hours unless for some reason the trailer gets loaded sooner.
Now I will have to drive 550 a day all at night just to get it there. Not a problem but really hate pulling all nighter's. But I am just happy to finally see a run over 300 miles.
Now it won't go on this paycheck so I can expect another bad check for next week but a good check should come the following week I hope. Just really need to make some money because I risk my life out here everyday and normally I would not do this for I have been getting payed here lately.
Just happy I get to drive and make some money!!!scottied67 Thanks this. -
"PS: I'm gonna keep an eye out for that brown one"

glad u got some miles atleast, 18hrs though that is rediculous.
If it goes at six just drive till 3 or 4am get your 10 zonks in and you'll finish Wed. night by 1 or 2am dpends how early Thurs. u have to deliver.
gl with the miles, i think the bigger carriers are hurt'n a bit right now maybe when you get some seniority they will improve though? -
Something seems to be going on because I was running on average 2900 miles a week then all of the sudden it has dropped. have not done anything wrong but a deer hit me.
I'm always ready to roll so hopefully the miles will come soon.. At least I'm making enough to eat out here

You're right... you haven't done anything wrong, and you're not being punished. Its the freight cycle - and something you should know is that it's not constant. You're at the beginning of a quarter, retail sales are down because of fuel prices, and until Memorial day and July 4th, there isn't any reason for retailers to make a push for more inventory. Things will begin to pick up in a few weeks.Injun and scottied67 Thank this.

They told us in upgrade orientation that freight is slow right now and if you turn down a load it might take a while to get more. Just what they said could just be talk
scottied67 Thanks this.
