THEY HAVE! I have seen their driver openings posted at my local Salvation Army shelter.

 

Swift may take you and require you to do 240hrs of training like a guy out of school. You have to double clutch for the prehire test.

A friend got hired that had a CDL and hadn't done it for 5 years. Swift does tuition reimbursement also. IMO better than USA truck.

I got my schooling at TN Tech. $1400. The WIA paid for it and even got me gas money to and from school!! I didn't owe a dime.

 

That would certainly be helpful to me right now..

 

Well. I am getting ready to leave on the 22nd to start a refresher course with them. I am not going to lease a truck. That seems to be the one outstanding problem with them that I have found. And a few others. But that is the most common.
So, when did you start for them? I could use as much advice as I can get.
AND... is it true they do a hair folicle drug test on you? lol Not really worried about it, I just thought that was a little extreme!

Kudos to you. At least someone will at least we hope won't fall for the fleece scams. Stick to your word & if you do then these scam artists won't have another victim.

No school required? Remember to double clutch on the road test. Better say howdy to the gang in the Swift forum and get well informed. I did 15 months there until I landed my local job.

Was it temporary insanity , Wannabe here and everything I see posted here is to avoid CRE at all cost.

 

I have been doing research on these companies for 2 months trying to make a decision. Everything I have read on hear has been negative and has definitely turned me against working for CRE. Not only would I not lease from them, I would never be a company driver for them.
