Can't even count the number of ones that sold while I was driving to look at them. I was avoiding the D12 because of all the issues I have heard. Then my Uncle who is in his 70's, still driving and has a computer as a brain for all things trucking told me that I have researched everything and talked to people that know. But on this I was listening to CB chatter. He was right. Most of the D12 issues have been addressed and I was able to save $8-10k compared to some of the other engines.
Did it come with the lights? Was it a fleet truck or O/O trade?

Yes it came just like it is O/O spec I was told that it was owned by the guy that owns the dealership in Sioux City and Omaha and he is co owner of pedregon racing (like I said I was told) I had the guy at a shop I use to find out one of the switches was on the dash because I couldn't figure it out and he told me it went to the pigtail more than likely to operate a airlift axle or something on the trailer it came with all the lights APU remote door locks steering wheel control heated and massage seats -
Sounds like things are going pretty well. Congrats for jumping into the snake pit and making a go of it. I got my authority in Nov and had my audit a week ago. In CA your first audit is to ensure that you are doing things right. He explained that under certain circumstances he could shut us down but that his goal was to provide guidance. He said I was well organized and gave us a pass on a couple of things that could be considered serious. At any rate we have revamped our files and are putting our second truck on in a few weeks.
Sure learned alot in the first quarter. Started the second quarter with a great month. Began to learn that some large brokers notoriously pay low (Stevens) and found a couple of smaller brokers that want a long term relationship. They pay well and quick.
Every action contains a lesson. I would like to put a group together of new "authoritarians" (?) where we could call in every couple of weeks and share our experiences. It would provide an opportunity to learn from each other and maybe avoid some bumps in the road. Thoughts? -
Sounds like you found a nice set-up. One issue with mine when buying it was the seats. I planned on buying a high-end driver seat with heat and message. But I guy had bought some new seats and was trading in his old ones for $500 to the dealer. My salesman put me in touch with him and bought them from him. He helped me install them in the parking lot of dealer. Parts manager was not happy. Lost the sale of my seat and I am sure he could have doubled his money on the trades.
I have three switches I have no idea what they control. Plan on tracking them down this summer before harvest starts when I have some extra hands around the shop that love solving puzzles.

Small red switch in front for heat Big red button in rear for massage Red leaver raise and lower rest for air bags throughout seat -
They look like my seats with the added buttons. It would be great if you could get something like that added to current seats. I have already told everyone that my Christmas present is going to be a new Legacy seat.
Did you luck into this set-up or did you focus on finding one that was O/O spec'd? -
I got the same seat too, but no heat or message......
