Well, that was at least a nice thought for about 5 seconds.

Hmm... If you're right, you may see trucks in their home terminal less and less as drivers operating from there become fewer and fewer in number, until it's little more than an office building with an extra large parking lot.

I haven't been by the England terminal over there off Pioneer lately. I have no reason to. But I do know, thanks to the testimonies of other trusted posters, that they still have a slight problem with turnover. Actually it's still in the 150-200% range. Last time I checked, their help-wanted was missing from the Salt Lake Tribune. This means they must be advertising in other areas to maintain the cycle. I know this is true by, again, other trusted posters here. These days they're advertising way up in Montana for new suckers.

And I bet you can see England's ad in the San Diego paper every day of the world, just like you could see it in Salt Lake back in the day, before the drivers in Salt Lake got smart and started staying away from them.

Never work for a company that advertises every day o' the world. Never work for a company that has high turnover. These two symptoms are related, and both indicate (at least to the enlightened) that the company doing the advertising pretty much sucks no matter how cute their ads are or what those ads may claim.

I remember Dick Simon's ads had cute little skunks, but I knew the reality at Dickie's company was ugly...it definitely wasn't cute.

Everyone has to start somewere there will allways be a high turnover rate with otr because the neewbiees think oh boy a paid vacation, that it is not a major change, that the job is easy etc.

Now that beeing said I would not start out with england but like I said everyone needs to start somewere.

Not all companies take students so just a little advise to all newbiees do not take all of the info that your read on here as the truth some peoples posts are just people not cut out fot the job and they come on here to cry about the job that they just quit or got fired from.

I personaly quit listening to Tip on his advise because in my oppinion and a few others it seems that he posts the same thing many times over and that he has some sort of bad feelings for the trucking industry.

I do not know if he was cut out for trucking or not but he can post how he likes to and say what he likes too we can not stop him from doing it he has the right to be here just like all of us.

I have had others posts answers to my questions and they have my respect because they will tell the truth and I like that.

I have had some guys come and post on my questions that was just bad mouthing the company I was looking for info on due to the person being fired he posted the truth first then I belive that he went back and edited his post to make it seem that he was a victim not a person that had done things wrong.

I wish there was a way to verify eveyones postings about bad companies but we can not.

Another thing that torques me off is people come here to complain and they only tell part of the story to benifit them and you practially have to drag more info out of them.

ok that is it for my rant

I agree, everyone has to start somewhere. But when there are 2 pages of "no" comments in less than 48 hours - I believe you should probably look elsewhere.

Also, as far as people saying it like it is - I for one am glad there are people on here who are willing to tell the "newbie's" like it is. To many times you see posts from ones "wanting" to be in trucking. They think driving a big rig is a glorified, hotel/vacation on wheels. They need to know the good and bad, they need different opinions on the subject to make a life changing decision. Hopefully they will have enough common sense and values to use the information they get to it's full potential. I never really understood the term "super trucker", but reading some of these posts, you get the picture real fast!!

Yeap, you're right Gass, I do post the same things over and over at times. This is because if you haven't noticed, there are many new users to this site and each of those tend to ask the same questions when they walk through the door here for the first time.

You can quit listening to what I have to say, sure. I'll just go round up about 2500 ex-Swift and England drivers who have to say exactly what I've been yakkin'. Maybe you'll listen to those guys. Doubtful, but maybe. If not, we'll make a giant choir and put it to music. Maybe we'll tour the world like the mormon tabernacle choir, spreadin' the reality gospel all over the globe. Maybe we'll have a big protest at the Iowa 80 and have CNN show up. Maybe then some hard-headed people will start getting the message.

I'm going to put this as nicely as possible...once they go out of business I will say GOOD. CR England is a horrible company and we warn people all the time, yet they go anyway and write me e-mails almost crying because they were done so bad by CR England and that they should have listened to us. I cannot even remember how many I've got about CR England at this point...a never-ending, vicious cycle.

I've heard that a lot around Salt Lake. "Shoulda Coulda Woulda" stories by the bushel. That's what people get when they take other's advice with a grain of salt, especially when that advice is warning them off a company with over 100% turnover. What is England's now? Over 200%? I don't care if you do need to get a start somewhere. Anyone going to a company with that kind of a revolving door is just asking for trouble and deserves what he gets. If he comes back here sobbing later, he will get no sympathy from me.

All you can do is try....and keep family away from the snakes and the vultures. CRE is one of the worst snakes out there.
