best show on XM 171 is Kevin Rutheford...on weekends from 4-7pm eastern. Good info. Also listen to Rollye James and Coast to Coast on 165.

Also have Sirius, better music, IMHO and Howard Stern.

I just got XM a couple days ago and listened to Kevin Rutherford for the first time. Very impressed with what he has had to say and he seems genuine.

The only Bill Mack I have listened to so far is this morning, which was mainly a religious broadcast. I was a big Bill Mack fan back when I was a kid, and also when I drove before. This is the first time I have listened to him since going back on the road though.

The "open road" channel is about all I have listened to so far, other than spending some time on the comedy channels.

I'm looking for useful info, and everytime I flip on the trucking channel I hear stuff like, "I am a woman flatbedder, and proud of it."; "where are all the reefer haulers?"; "how do I become a truck driver?" I dont care if you are, in my eyes you're a driver. Anyone looking for special treatment because they're different has some attention issues. For those with Sirius here is a quick rundown of all the channels I hit up: 1, 8, 9, 19, 20, 21, 24, 28, 29, 100, 101, 103, 104, 106, 110, 118, 131, 132, 133, 144, 145, 146. I think I get my money's worth.

The open road cafe on sirius is entertaining and has some good guests. The overnight show is too slanted to the right for my taste.

we've had sirius for quite a while. like roaddog in the morning and old truck songs early p.m. but those afternoon guys sheesh, you can almost see them in their shorts and flip flops.bet there is some kind of bs degree on their wall, they probably think a glad hand is a Saturday night date. That one guy who quite smoking really gets to me.I know I know all the anti smoking stuff but remember your truck is your home twenty four hours a day however many days your out. and nobody should tell you you can't smoke in your own home. this guy is such a yuppie. He just mimics Hunt and the other biggies and tells everybody to accept that this cross boarder thing is commin' so get used to it and go with the flow. Did I mention most of his guest already have terminals in Mexico.
Sorry about the rant. Forgive me? will try to be more posetive but it is Monday!

I have XM but have listend to the Sirius side as well. From a trucking standpoint, Sirius has the better shows in my opinion.

I got Sirius in anticipation of becoming a driver and have been listening to the Road Dog trucking channel hoping to get some insight into the trucking industry. I never really hear them talk about the trucking industry, just a bunch of bad comedy. If I go looking for comedy its not gonna be on that channel so I don't really understand why they use that format. Geesh I think I run through the same channels as TJ, nice to see someone else out there is listening to both sides instead of just spoonfeeding themselves what they want to hear.

i definately like the trucking business show (kevin rutherford)
but after listening to other talk programs from 5AM to 5PM i am ready for some music by then LOL
i start at from 5-10 with O AND A, then at from 10 to 2 i flip over to 152 and catch Lex and Terry until Dave Ramsey comes on 165 at 2PM.
my favorite is a toss up between O AND A, and Dave.
