What a day. After loading these melons at some disguting farm in South Florida, I've been at the dock at my reciever all day waiting for a USDA inspector to write up a report why they are refusing them. 5pm and I've been here since 7am. Now I have to take them to Valatie NY to some farm to be used as feed for the cows. I have to unload in the morning then head back to the terminal for my Vegas load that was ready to go today. What a day.

Just wanted to say it was nice meeting those I did in the short time I was there. John is a great guy, and will go out of his way to help you out. I had to leave this past weekend. I couldn't go another week with what I was making. All in all, calex is a good company. Just living in NJ, it wasn't financialy possible for me to continue there. I landed a local job driving a new Pete 379 pulling a landoll for a company I worked for years ago. Im home everynight which is great. If anyone is in the baltimore area Sat, I am hauling an antique firetruck down there for the Maryland Fire Museum parade and equipment show. Be safe on the roads all!!!!! Mike

I was this morning at Calex for my roadtest and interview, i have to met with Brian P. I could not do my roatest, or the interview. For the following.
8 months ago I changed residence, I lived in New York and I moved in Pennsylvania, in New York i have i work for YRC Worldwide employs what is called an absent live for 1 year, when I move my supervisor told me could be that it changed my job for a terminal near me in Pennsylvania 8 months have passed and nothing, then I get started looking for work between these works is the Calex Logistics.
What happened to me today was that I was called YRC Worldwide, explaining that the relocalization process will get started next week, I work with YRC Worldwide since 2004 and can not leave them without any reasonable.
Turning to Calex I report this possibility in my application to return to YRC Worldwide (Ltl trucking) Nothing, I explain to Mr. Brian P. and asked him to keep my application open in the event that the transfer did not work for me. He told me that there was no problem, I can get started the process again.
JohnBoy maybe later i can join Calex, YRC is not very healthy on this economy, but I have to stay with them until the end, I am a very responsible and never leave a job in a wrong way. And unless the information continues that employers may leave you in your DAC Report.
JohnBoy maybe one day i will join you at Calex. One thing for sure if i ever have to look for another job, my first shot will be at Calex.
Later...JohnBoy Thanks this. -
Well I finally got rid of the watermelon load from hell. I got unloaded at 8am this morning in Valatie NY. Louie called as I was leaving and told me he took me off the Vegas load for Tuesday and put me on a Vegas load for Wednesday. Halfway back to the terminal he called me again and told me I was going to Los Angeles with a one stop instead. I got back to the yard about 2pm, fueled, got a grease job and went upstairs for my paper work. While I was at this farm getting unloaded I walked across the street and figured I'd get something for the guys in dispatch. For the almost 2 years I've been there I've never seen a bunch of people eat the most God awful food in my life. I bought them a homemade Dutch Apple Pie that looked absolutely delicious. I handed in my trip envelope and Louie told me my load was sitting in the yard. This doesn't happen to often so I was hooked, serviced, fueled and on my way by 3pm. My load is set up for a Wednesday delivery but I was told that they are a good receiver and they would take it earlier if I could get there. I checked my hours and realized I could get there around 10am Tuesday with about 2 hours left on my clock. So that's what I'll do so I can get an early jump on my reset and get reloaded Thursday instead of Friday. Thats it for now, God bless and be safe.
Hitman Thanks this. -
Well we dodged another bullet. I woke up to the same view out my window I've had the last 29 years, trucks in a truckstop. So much for the world ending today. Maybe next year.
