Hi guys, was looking for some information on Cummins software checking. Was trying to get something I can install on my laptop and plug into the Truck and check Engine codes. We have 6 KW's and all have ISX from 04's to 08's. Would be great rather than running to the dealer when the cel come on. Not trying to change power or paramrters. Just trying to get a code out or reset it. Have Road Relay in some trucks but they are very brief as to what is going on. Any Suggestions, Thanks.
It is getting to be very expensive replacing sensors at dealerships with diagnostic time and parts. I had Intake Manifold sensor replaced at KW here in Langley, BC. $450 bill. Drove for 2 days and cel back on. Went back and now they say the wiring plug is bad. What a bunch of crap, same code. It is not that hard to change sensors or clean them, it is the dealership labour that is too much. $104 an hour. Anyways Thanks.

Would you know what wire plug I would use to link my laptop to my truck. Found some info on Datalink or Inline adapters. There are 6 pin or 9 pin. I set up the software on my Laptop. Just need a conmection to read codes. Thanks for your help guys.

Pre 07 would use a 6 pin and 07 snd up would use a 9 pin which is located under the dash on the left side of the steering wheel.

    Koolk Thanks this.

Most inline adapters will come with both 6 and 9 pin ends. I would get both.

    Koolk Thanks this.
