Thats my attitude. I'd say screw it and set the alarm for four hours later. If they are in a hurry to get the trailer away from the dock, they can come knock on the door. If it's not ready after the first four hours, I'd set the alarm for another four hours. Screw em.

Yup. Staying awake, waiting for those chumps to get their loads figured out is a bang-up way to get yourself so tired and fatigued that you are not only unsafe, but are headed toward an accident.

Set the alarm, and go to sleep. If Coors was that hot to get the load on the road, the yard dog can come by and bang on your door - like everyone else does.

BTW... did you get some detention pay for that?

That is exactly what I did at Coke in Boston and Smithfield in Tarheel, NC. Talked to plenty of O/O's at Smithfield who had told me they had been there for over 24 hours. They like to call you on the CB. I told the lady my CB was broke (lie) and they had to call my cell. They didn't of course, so I slept in 4 hour increments. Of course, their load was late in Hbg PA but that was THEIR fault, not mine. By the time I got the trailer, it was 9 hours from the time I showed up. I finished a 10 hour break on their lot, THEN picked it up and ran it to Hbg. Sysco folks in Hbg asked me why so late, I told them to call Smithfield to ask when they released the loaded trailer and also showed them my logs (basically illustrating to them that their frozen pork was NOT worth a log violation and if they had a problem, they need to talk to the shipper).

    SCREW THEM.

BTW: According to his post, Coors is a NO DETENTION account.

ok I'm almost done with my Trainer and will most likely be heading back to Greeley the end of next week. Just wondering what is the Trailer test? Is it how to run the refer and how to set the Tandems?

I have a TWIC card. Gotta go get your fingerprints done again, fill out the same form you fill out for your hazmat, then once that is done, go in and pay some more moeny and get your TWIC. Not hard, just a pain in the arse.
