I have been looking all over the internet for a website that will give arrival time predictions of storm system and I can't find one. If I have to head out on a run that is going to put me in the path of a storm it would be nice to know when it will be at point A so I can be at point B. I see some halfway decent forecast online but times would be really helpful for me. I could delay, postpone or head out early on my run if I need to to keep me out of harms way in a heavy hitting area.
Right know it feels almost like running across a 4 lane freeway... just take off and hope you don't get hit lol. I was in very close proximity to 3 tornadoes in 2 days... one of them at night was only about 150-200 ft away it looked like from the damage... I couldn't see a thing. It's a miracle I didn't flip or worse. I know you all feel the same way but I'm about sick of this crap.God bless and keep safe ya'll.
Is There A Website To Track A Storms Speed And Predict It's Arrival Time?

NWS, offers the speed of the storm and what's in it's path.. but you'd have to do the math and figure arrival times, etc...
-
I've looked there but I don't see it. Could you post a link from a page that is showing the speed and I can go from there? Thanks.

It will only show in a storm with a severe thunderstorm warning. Other than that you have to watch looped radar and judge for yourself.. I'm sorry I can't do more.

Ok here is an example... I get these weather warnings off the Weather Channel online site.
Here is the link... http://www.weather.com/newscenter/alerts/national/severeWxAlertsNational.html

I think he wants something that gives him a more notice than that. Intellicast has an hourly forecast that would give you a rough idea of when the boomers were supposed to start. There's also a radar summary that overlays watch/warning boxes and height/velocity/bearing on the radar map. Hail, Mesocyclonic circulation, and tornado vortex signatures are also noted. NWS or NOAA radio are best short term source.
GuysLady, does NWS post text of the warnings broadcast on NOAA? I know some stations will call out time/location points (Podunk Corner 6:13, BFE 6:20, etc.) -

Yes, they do.
