Best battery for my car??

    I have an SUV...run all kinds of stuff including a cooler once in awhile...Duralast Gold from Auto Zone has always preformed well for me and its like $80....

    Remember a car only has one battery, and more then likely, just enough generation from the alternator to keep it, and other small electronics on board going, nothing like a truck. The yellow top Optima is a good route, but pricey, also, threw JC Whitney you can get a 12 high output solar panel (put in back window) and charge the battery that way. It would be a great idea, to keep the new battery stand alone, not connected to car's charging system. Run solar panel to battery to charge, then branch your 12 volt connections to run what you want from that. grounding the battery to the frame of course, but that should suit you right up. East coast day runners come up with some innovative tricks, but seen it all almost,lol. That trick I told you is a ham radio operators dream right there, especially if he putts around town in a civic or something. :):biggrin_25512:
