Well wnt down and cleaned the truck this morning. Then went to Walmart and picked up a couple bins for stuff. My friend is going to make me a couple of shelfs for the cabinets and a base for my tv. Still have to get the inverter installed, because they didnt have time to install that or the cb. I installed the cb myself. We go back out on Tuesday the 31 st. I may try to march in the Memorial Day parade on Monday with my son if my uniform pants still fit me. I am still an active member in the fire department and my son is a junior in the dept.

Has anyone run u 19 in West Virginia? They had that in are route plan so I ran down it. It is a two lane road narrow windy and a lot of hills. I lost a lot of time running that road. My truck gps I bought (tnd510) told me part way through that I was over weight for the road. What do you do? There is no place to turn around. The killer part of it is that it runs along and zig zags I 79. I didn't know, i suppose if I would have read my map a little better I would have seen that. Didn't want to go off route, another learning experience. I dont understand why they route you the way they do, maybe I will never understand it. Running that we were an hour late, at least it was a drop so noone was waiting on it not that, that makes it better.

    Hello Everyone!!!!
    Have a Happy Memorial Weekend...
Things are so crazy here in Miami, they are so many tourist they close our beach front roads.
I have made great progress in CDL School, I finally feel ready for Tunnel Hill, however having 3 days off from practice make me a but nervous, I need to constantly practice so that it becomes second nature.
Anyway Im not gonna worry about it.

    Be Safe Everyone!!!!!

There used to be a page with the mileage pay broke down, but I can't find it. They've changed the website all around......I found this on another site but it is from 2006 and the pay has changed, but it shows what the sliding scale pay is.

    Miles: 0-300 301-600 601-900 900+
    0 Months 0.35 0.35 0.32 0.25
    3 Months 0.37 0.37 0.33 0.28
    6 Months 0.37 0.37 0.33 0.30
    1 Year 0.41 0.37 0.34 0.32

Well, never made it to Wisconsin.............my load got changed about 30 minutes before I was going to leave this morning. Ended up with a load on the west side of St. Louis that delivered in Hebron, KY this evening.....so now I'm sitting at the Kentucky Welcome Center for the night....hoping I'll get another load by morning......I really don't mind loosing that load if they will keep me in this neck of the woods so that I make it to Tunnel Hill by Wednesday...LOL

Sometimes routing is weird. It usually has to do with the consignee not bing willing to pay tolls. You could call your FM and ask to re-route.

    engine312 Thanks this.

Engine.......they run you down those little, two lane, back country roads to save a few miles.....for every 50 miles of that, add at least 20 minutes to your time frame......where did you deliver?......I took a look at the route in Goggle Maps.

    engine312 Thanks this.

Anna, we delivered in Horsham, Pa. I understand saving money but that was crazy. It didn't make us money and to boot it help makes us late. Also according to my gps I was in over weight violation you would think they would look as they are routing. I will have to look in my map book to check on that route.
