Need info on International School in Dallas

Does anyone have any info on International Trucking School located in Dallas,Tx. I live in Dallas and was thinking about going there for my cdl license. I also thought about going through CRST. They send their students to International but charge half the price. Any input would help.

I know this is sort of ressurecting an old post, I just wanted to pass on the little bit of information I had about this school. It's one of the ones I've been considering, as I'm also in the DFW area, so I've been doing some research.

It has an A+ rating on the BBB, but that doesn't mean much, tbh.

International schools has a school in Dallas and in Fort Worth. I went to the one in Fort Worth and thought it was good. Got a job with Roehl afterwards. Roehl also has a free company school with a job afterwards. Also Roehl has a job program for veterans. Both can be found on the internet.

I just got my CDL at International in Dallas. Loop 12 (I-45 & Loop 12). I have mixed feelings about the school. Couple of great trainers there (you will soon realize how important this factor is). Don't let the looks of the place scare you off. It will all be over in 3 1/2 weeks. A couple of recruiters a week show up to do their presentations. They also have a financing package available (Genesis), unless you are going the workforce route (which seems EXTREMELY popular there). I won't say anything now, but, please let me know later on what you think about the situation if you enroll!!

Seriously, though, it is what it is, and it's much better than tying yourself to a company you may not like and getting off to a bad start. I talked to the chick down at Waco, and just got a bad vibe off that place...but who knows. Please...keep us posted.

I signed up with CRST and attended International Schools in Dallas. The school was disorganized but the quality of training is more than acceptable.

Orientation in OKC was 4 days of death by powerpoint. Brought back Army memories.

I have been out on the road with my trainer for a week now and to this point I have no complaints. I had a layover but since then it has been nonstop for the most part.

I haven't been able to find anything else about this company (which I find really odd), so maybe just talk to someone who's been there? Like Sapper Daddy87.

I went here to get my CDL in Oct 2010. Great School. I thought the experience level of the instructors was great. No less than 5 years over the road ecxperience for each staff member. One was a 20 year OTR vet. A+ in my book
