more and more states ahave this leave more room law, I live in NV and they just recently started doing this, My sister got stopped about a month ago for changing into a lane to close to a semi, there was no inncident, but she said, the cop told her that she only had about 10ft between her and the semi when she changed lanes, and thats extremely to close, when she called me and asked me about that, I told her, that the officer was correct, if something happened and she had to hit her brakes and stop the semi would have crushed her, told her to think of the weight of her vehicle, witch is about 2500 lbs, and the weight of a semi, could be upto 80,000 lbs, she said she never really thought about it before, cop let her go with out a ticket, but warned her if he saw her do it again, he would issue her a fine

Here in Kansas, on K-18 hwy between I-70 and Manhattan they started using a new laser gun that determines following distances. They look just like the laser speed guns. For that stretch of highway they needed to do something.

My opinion? This guy should be cited, (the story said he probably would) because if it's true he cut the truck off, he's at fault.

I'm Nevada reseidant as well.

the driver was cited for failure to maintaine lanes. he went to court 2 times for it and it got dismissed.
now the law suits have been filed. the passenger of the van is suing the driver,im suing the driver, my wife is also, and so is the state.
and the driver of the van is suing me. who do you think is going to lose this battle?

Well, I hope it isn't you. But some of the courts in this country decide things very stupidly.

no i was not cited in the accident. the driver of the 4wheeler was

You should come out on top on this one. Unless they can dig some skeleton up on you. The van driver screwed up and it's hard to build a defense when his own rider is suing him. You're company didn't get involved in the lawsuits?
This is a perfect example I try to tell other drivers about multiple lawsuits and what one accident can do. Luckily your on the better end of it.
Have you recovered fully from your injuries yet?
The police should of charged him with failure to yield. Did the guy come from the shoulder?
Not like it makes a difference, but that fox article said you had 20 years experience? Clerical error?
