i was wondering what kind of test it is for the Passenger endorsement, is it a paper test or is it hands on like a pre-trip. i searched the mass rmv web site and can find no info on this. thanks. stephan.

You have to take a written test, perform a pretrip and do a road test. If you don't have your CDL there will be I think 3-4 written tests. During the road test, you have to pre-trip, do 3 of 6 manauvers including parallel parking, alley doing, and the other maneuver back from one lane to another, then a road test.

Adding Endorsement(s) to a Massachusetts Commercial License
Refer to the CDL Class chart at the beginning of this section to determine what type of test you need to take for a specific endorsement.
A written test is required for all endorsements. A written test and a road test are required for Airbrake, Passenger, and School Bus endorsements.
