Hi,
I am wondering whether anyone knows which Fuel Card would be the best for my situation. I am an O/O with my own authority. I am running out west across the country, and back again, same route.
Any O/O's in Canada using a card?
Recommendations?
Fuel Cards?

Lots of Husky's and Petro pass's around. You can't miss with those two.
-
The place I'm working uses Petro Pass because they have locations close to the warehouses in all the cities we have locations in. We just do local deliveries, but that should indicate there are plenty around. I've talked to local owner/operators who swear by the CO-OP because of the rebates, but they're not doing long haul.
-
Co-Op works well if you just drive around MB, SK and AB. after that they get hard to find. If I had to get my own fuel card I would go with Peto-pass because you can find them anywhere.
-
Co-Op only works for rebates if it's the Co-Op you bought your membership for. My Co-Op membership is good for the Red River Co-Ops only.
If you go Petro, you have time stamps.
Husky doesn't have time stamps. -
Thank you,
I know there are mostly Huskie's, and Petro's along the Trans-Canada Highway.
I will have to take a look at both, and see what I can dig up. -
They may not have time stamps on the receipt, but I'm told that it is on the bill in the mail.
-
The company I work for has been through gov't mandated audits, and they only use the receipts you bring back. -
I would go with Petro Pass. This is clearly your best bet. Everything you need. Including clean showers.

Hey, a fellow Manitoban. Yay!
The membership thing is important. I'm not sure why they don't come up with some kind of trading program between MB and SK so the cards work everywhere. Pretty much the same province anyway. When I'm in SK, I just give them my mother's number. Not sure if that would work for a fuel card instead of just gas and lumber though.
