I just talked to Florilli on the phone today. I found out they are only paying PCMiler short miles LOL Talk about how companies screw drivers. Paschal Trucking told me they only pay HHG miles. They expect good loyal people and treat them this way, then they wonder why drivers have bad attitudes on the road...

The feeling is likely mutual....
Just remember, as an employee, if your boss is not profiting from the work you do, you will not have a job for very long. They are in business to make money...profits...and you as an employee are an investment. They pay you for the work that you do, and if you cannot earn them a profit due to your unwillingness to work, abuse of the equipment, excessive waste, etc., then don't be surprised to find yourself unemployed. ANY employer (not just trucking companies) will want to see a good return on their investment....profits as a result of the work that you do...and when you are talking about an employee, that investment can be huge. Not only are they paying your wages, but they are also having to pay workers comp insurance, unemployment insurance, employment taxes (FICA is your half...they pay the other half on your behalf), not to mention any "benefits" offered....health insurance, paid vacation, 401K matching, etc. Employees are expensive, and if you aren't carrying your own weight, you'll be let go. Again, that's ANY job, not just in trucking.
It is in your own best interest to do the best job that you can do to earn the boss good profits. That makes you a valuable asset to the company, and the company is more likely to bend over backwards to keep you happy if you make them healthy profits.....better equipment, better benefits, better pay, etc.

but the way some people on this forum think, we have no reason to complain and since we weren't really doing any work we don't deserve detention time anyway!
