When i first started here i got truck number 396, the previous driver left it a mess, not too bad, but i just took it over to the guys in the tank wash and they detailed it for me. The truck turned out to be a real peice of crao, not really Irt's fault, it was CAT's problem child regeneration system. I could almost make an appiintment for every 2-3 weeks to visit a peterbilt or cat dealer with regen problems. But i stuck it out for ebout 10 monthes and then was givin Truck 698, had 13 miles on it, was a great truck. Now i have one of the new internationals since i became local/regional, and its a ok truck.
But i think Irt would retain alot more drivers from Orientation if they would take the time to detail the inside of the trucks when someone moved out of it. And hunt down and brutally beat down the lazy peice of crap slob that left it in that condition, becuase there is NO excuse to live that nasty..... -
They gave my husband a truck that we both got sick from it was filled with Mold

As I was checking in with the loaded he was unhooking another irt in front of me both of us were given the wrong po#'s. We were both given the same loads that don't load until tomm and deliver monday
-
they won't stay that way for long..
ha ha.....yes they need to hold the slobs accountable for the mess they make, that or screen the drivers better but when your turn over rate is that high these things are bound to happen..
I agree about not living nasty like that, and thats exactly what I told Betty "I don't live like that"...back in my younger days I probably would have taken the truck and made the best of it, not anymore I've paid my dues to this industry..
Maybe I should have made a bigger fuss because one of the dudes in my orientation was handed a mess and complained about the truck so they gave him a brand new International.....go figure !! -
Kinda slow around here
