A friend of mine worked for them out of Columbus Oh in the 90's. He didn't say anything bad about them except lot of East coast and grocery warehouses

I worked for J&R from 2004 to 2008, They were good to me. I paid off one truck, and then leased a new 2006 9900IX, at that time I was in the flatbed division, that doesn't exsist now. When the fuel prices went through the roof in 2007, and 2008 things got rough, miles dropped, I could have turned in the lease truck, and went company, but would have had to wait 30 days before I could do this. That was the only reaon I left, after being in the hole I could not affored to go 30 days without income. I will tell you this, when things were good, it was great! I would recommed J&R Shugel. Go into to the refer division they have the best freight base. I still have friends that work in management, and things seems to be looking up for the company. Very nice people in New Ulm, MN. I hope this helps with your decision.:yes2557:
