So, can anyone tell me what the speed limit for a truck is, in California???
-
55 miles an hour !!!!!!!!
-
I live here and been doin 57-61 all the time and never was stopped even when they were next to me. I rly wonder how I am supposed to do exactly 55 with 10 sp tranny? 55 is when i have to shift. Either im doing 50 in 9th gear and make drivers agry behind me or at least 57 in 10th with a light load on flat road. I wish i had super10 or 13
-
If i keep it between 55 and 60, i get my best fuel mileage, 7mpg plus.

Actually by Florida State Law they cant write you a ticket unless your going 6mph over -
harley,
got a link for that ? -
No but a few months ago one of the TV stations in Jax did a story on cops running radar and FHP was quoted saying thats the law in Florida -
I disagree. If a anyone is passing through a state and gets a piddly-##### ticket like that, the officer is going to figure that the driver will not be back through the state to appear in court and dispute the ticket. The easiest way to resolve the ticket is to just pay the stupid thing - and the cops and courts know this. It's easy revenue for the state since no driver really wants to drive back to the area they received the ticket, locate the superior court and argue their case, for a court date that's typically 6-weeks after receiving the ticket. Can your dispatcher guarantee that you'll be back in that specific area on the court date? Not likely.

For CDL drivers, not paying and/or resolving a ticket results in a higher risk of losing that license if they're back in the state where they received the ticket. Most counties issue arrest warrants for unpaid tickets and any state will run the license number on a driver stopped for any reason.
As someone else stated, protect that CDL - it's your livelihood. -
I'm familiar with that law.
Just looking for the proof,
thanks.........
