Hmm yeah thats true. Not everyone is aware they can do that.

 

Isn't your DM kinda like your boss? Going over the boss's head to accomplish your goal can make for a pretty miserable work experience for quite a while. I've witnessed it and can understand why some folks are reluctant to do so.

 

Swift has a chain of command, and if you cannot get satisfaction from your DM, you are within your rights to go up the chain. And if your DM retaliates, you are within your rights to skip the DM step and go to your FM or TM.

The people above your DM will listen to you. Your DM should listen to you, but sometimes... well, I dont know. I have not been a DM.

speaking of cleaning things, can we request an advance to get our truck washed? How does that work? I should already know this...

 

Whats funny is, that I sweep out the trailers before we load them with bails and all that before they are sent out. I doubt all the Target stores do it, but I'd rather not have plastic, broken pallet scraps, etc etc to trip over while loading it. Plus.. The only time it's a pain to clean is when a bleach pallet gets crushed or a few bottles of come cleaning material pop in transport. ALSO FUN Picking up boxes and finding the cuts on ur hand on fire because these crazy chemicals got into them.. Luckly, we use our own trailers so we don't get 100000 of randoms.

If so are you saying Swift will pay for your tractor to be washed or are you talking about having it come out of your maintenance account?
