I will believe it when I see it. You can't get a spot anywhere along 95 in Conn. after about 3 p.m. The few truck stops off of the highway are full and aren't the best places to begin with. The current rest stops are usually overflowing with trucks parked out on the ramps well before dark. I usually end up staying in NJ if I have a Conn. delivery for the morning.

I'm from CT and it is horrible. When I run to NJ on the way back if I want to rest for a few minutes theres nothing, I pass the rest stops out because theres usually trucks in every spot and on both ramps. They even park along the state police ramps.

I-91 has some beautiful rest areas though with a lot more parking. Running 91-N pull off the exit 14 rest stop near Wallingford, thats my favorite summertime spot to stop and have lunch.

I go up that way often, making deliveries in Wallingford and up into Hartford and use the rest stops on 91. They are usually not full even in the evening. I deliver to a dealership off of exit 13 and there is a little ice cream joint on 5 that I can usually get a cone or a quick bite on the way back to the interstate.

I am also from CT and i agree with this article something needs to be done. I think there needs to be some sort of patrol at the pilot off of exit 40 there is always drug deals and fights @ that dump. The rest area close to the RI line is ok. Looking to move out of this state.:biggrin_25524::biggrin_25513:

The TA at the 56 is better but not great, small and if you try to get in there after 5 pm most days, you are out of luck trying to find parking.
