Honestly why would people become a trainer if they get frustrated and pissed off at every single thing? No good ######## just like sitting back and making money off of every mile you drive. My trainer doesn't teach me ####, he will grab the Qualcomm and type everything in, or just say "macro 8, enter, employee #...." doesn't stop and explain what we are doing and why. He just wants to run hard and make money; not teach. ####### dick ####### son of a ##### trainer. Uggggggg I'm ready to quit after a week but can't because I'll never get another trucking job without the exp. Sorry for the rant. Just depressed, homesick, and frustrated.
Werners honestly not that bad....but the trainers are.

Ask for a different trainer maybe? That's the biggest reason I went with who I'm with, not having to deal with the B.S.
-
yep, just ask for a different trainer.

If you think about it a minute it's Werner's training policy that's screwed up and making trainers into a##holes. If a student goes all the way(or at least tests out) the trainer is responsible for the new driver for the first six months so if they get into an accident in that time the trainer's pay is cut. So its in the best interest of the trainer to get a student to quit or at least get off there truck before they test out.

Packfan is right I was fortunate to have two excellent trainers. When I was with my second trainer his last student got into an accident and had a log violation he lost three cents a mile for each one of those for I think a year. Needless to say he was pretty pisses off.

I'm having a hard time understanding how the trainer is lazy and making you drive yet, your not getting any experience. All you need to do is drive. Screw what the trainer does and get your hours, it'll be over before you know it. You will pick up all the Qualcom crap pretty fast when you get your own truck. You can also call your student manager and fill his ear up when you stop at the truck stop away from your trainer.

One bad apple doesn't ruin the bunch. I would stay with the trainer and stick it out 90% of what you learn will be on your own so jus stick it out until your on your own

My son had no accidents or tickets but was terminated 5 days after testing out for hard braking;does that affect his trainers pay or is it only accidents that count against the trainer?
