Hey watch it now! MY ride is more than a truck! It's safe, clean and takes care of me. It gets me from point A to B and does not break down.. Ooops I probably should have not said this...

Basically it decides on how much money I make a month.. I will be ###### if I give it up and take a chance on another truck I know nothing about nor do I care.. I have my baby!!! She's the one that passes by you when you are waiting on Onroad....:biggrin_2551: because your next truck is a lemon

Our FM, DM, Trip planner and our own determination and will decide on how much money we can earn each month.

If the truck assigned to us doesn't run.......we're assigned another truck.

I like the international we usually drive but currently we're driving a very old volvo that has issues. HOWEVER we're company drivers and we drive what we're assigned. So we drove this very old, issue filled volvo 6746 miles last week and we'll do about the same this week. And we did that with a day off in a motel.

So this "lemon" makes us money.

Do I miss Gladys? absolutely but she's in the body shop and I don't know if we'll get her back or not. In the 27 months I've driven for Swift, we've had Gloria a prostar, Skippy a volvo, Thelma a prostar, a loaner from SLC it was a terrible volvo, Gladys a prostar, and now.....Lance the witless volvo. We're company drivers and we drive whatever we're assigned.

    1nOnly, I sure hope you're assigned a truck SOON.

Tell your DM,FM, and TM you are signing up for unemployment and to call you when a truck is available.
Applications for unemployment go to Phoenix, not your local terminal.
Some bean counter will start asking questions and you will be in a truck ASAP.
When I finished my training I waited three days with no truck and no promise of a truck anytime soon. When I said I was going to unemployment, I was in a truck in 24 hrs.
With your experience you can almost get a job anywhere with anyone.
Time to look forward to someone who treats you better and pays you what your worth. Good luck.

I'm blown away to find that a major carrier won't let you take more than 3 days off without losing your truck... what if you want a week off? Maybe a kid is getting married.

I carry a lot of stuff in my truck, inverter wired in, Sirius wired in with FM modulator, etc... I don't have 2 pairs of pants and some toothpaste to throw between trucks. The idea of being prohibited from taking decent time off because I'll have to move stuff for two hours.....AND find somewhere to keep it, like a homeless guy with his shopping cart until I get another truck. My stuff FILLS the trunk of the car and most of the back seat... where's that stuff going to be? Along for the ride at the wedding? Where's Aunt Betty going to sit when we go to the rehearsal dinner?

    Sorry, but that's just ridiculous.

Another example of worst in class......

With 3yrs experience, you can do much better at another company. If were me, I would file unemployment for the week. Why should you lose wages because of their flawed policy ?
