Sure, you should be allowed to chill any way you want, within the laws of our country. If you want to smoke, move to Amsterdam. I saw it there when I was stationed in Europe - it's all open.

This isn't just about the trucking industry. Doesn't matter how many people want to legalize pot, and spill that bogus reason that tax dollars will be raised from legalization... it's illegal, and that's the way it is.

we are all just trying to paint a picture of reality this is a way of life not jost a job.
yes i agree we should be left alone and not be messed with.

However driveing a 7oft 80,000 lb battering ram down busey roads requires a clear head. period.
    good luck and best wishes

For the pot thing...I fully support legalization. I also fully support drug testing. I haven't had any pot in years and didn't like it much when I was experimenting. Legalization would solve a lot of organized crime problems though, and I really don't care if somebody wants to get high. I don't want them driving when high though...not a scooter, not a car, and certainly not a big rig.

Legalizing it won't make it any more available, it's all over the place already, and I doubt usage would go up. Let's face it, most people have jobs where being high doesn't matter much because it doesn't endanger others. Trucking, operating heavy equipment, running power tools, and so on are not that kind of job though.
