Yes they are my reasons for why I think it's a good company. It shows they don't nickel and dime their drivers like a lot of places.

As for your experience there it does sound rather sour. It is however, one of a more personal nature which i have zero knowledge of. I've never seen a driver treated at Pride in that manner myself.

What I can speak to though is the regular phone calls I got over the last few months checking on my health while I was off and the warm welcome back I got as soon as I was healthy enough to return to driving.

Probably because you are spreading wrong information. Reread what I said. Ronin was on a dedicated account. Dedicated accounts can pay as little as .82 per mile at CRE ...

I know this because my son and I ran OTR with CRE and averaged 6000 miles per week, including our hometime. We were among the top running teams. Because of that we had every dedicated account chasing us to run for them. Other than WalMart, they all paid less than OTR; except Western Regional where the available miles were crap.

Yes, I know that everyone has different experiences and different opinions. When it comes to Pride Transport, I have seen their true colors and I know where the valley is that evil walks.

You share your story, I will share mine and we will let those who search PRIDE decide for themselves.

Thing is, I have a good memory, especially when it comes to remembering when someone has kicked me. They will rue the day when I have an opportunity to get even.

I have been with CRE for 3 years now and when I am training I do alright, about $1200 a week being a phase 1 trainer (every couple of weeks I do have a bad week and make a negative check).

I have been running solo for 4 months now and I called the training department today to ask to be a trainer again. When running solo I get a negative paycheck every other week and maybe a $800 check in between. I don't have a variable mileage payment since I bought the truck but I struggle to make my $700 weekly payment.

The only thing keeping me going is that my truck will be fully paid off in 2 months, once I get that title I am out. The only good thing I got out of all this is the experience.

OK, you don't have variable mileage, and you get a negative check every other week or so...even when you're a trainer?

"Negative check". I never knew that term until I worked for CRE... and the CRE cheerleaders talk about how it's all wine and roses. Working hard, training newbies, averaging $600-800 a week, no time off...

Dang, you could work at (insert trucking company name here) as a company driver, no trainees, and have some hometime and make that!

I can promise you, also... they'll find a way to take a bunch more money from you, and jikky things up with actually owning the truck. I've seen it too many times.

    Tazz Thanks this.

I don't trust CRE shops, I would go in there for their "free truck inspection" and leave there with $1500 in repairs. The last time I was at the SLC yard they wanted me to get my flex hoses replaced to my exhaust and some other things. Took it to the freightliner down the street and they said my truck was fine.

You know my first question when I hear that term" negative check"?

How in the hell do you have more than one?????????

The very first time you think I owe you money for operating you truck and training your future driver we will part ways.

Never understand someone that see's a second bill for working.

I had a few, didn't re-lease, and had to write a letter to the director of recruiting, explaining why they should quit contacting me, since I'm not coming back.

There are some company drivers who make good money. One of my previous students got a dedicated company route called the "green line." Goes from southern cal to Seattle and back. Home every Thursday and Friday and his gross paycheck is $950 a week. The intermodal guys make about $1200 a week and work Monday through Friday and are home every night.

It is so frustrating when these company guys make a lot more money then me and don't have the headaches I do. But I made my bed and now I am lying in it.

Like I've said before... after all of that, I left, and had $5500 in my maintenance account and an $1100 check coming. I got the $1100 check, but the refurbishment on my 6 month lease truck, after I washed it all the time, waxed it often, polished the wheels, kept the inside spotless, etc... was $5470. A coincidence?
