I have hauled a couple of loads for Haulmark. No issues and they treated me pretty decent. I'd definitely haul again for them. Seems like your dispatch is the one at fault for taking the impossible load.

Twin Model is Freight Quote and Rockwell's side kick company to play games and then call you with an attitude saying we are big.

I have done a load for Rockwell/Freight Quote from their Southampton PA warehouse to Houston Tx with 3 Extra stops ( in other words they put together 4 loads in this Truck Load) for $2600 42000lbs 1700 miles
First the loading Dock supervisor and couple others put their heads together to load this improperly packaged load in the trailler, which was a failure confirmed at the Carlisle Loves truck stop scale, load could not be adjusted to legal limits /axle # 9PM
Next day they brought in a really ignorant person to readjust the load who had F...ing in his language dripping along with arrogance. Anyway they crunched the loads forward to barely accomodate the legal limits. Then the lumper at First stop refused some crushed boxes and cans. Now they are holding our payment saying there is a claim. I have all recordings and videos of these events, we might end up going for a major law suit. -
$1.50 for 1 pick 1 drop is cheap. 4 drops at this rate is an embarrassment.Winchester Magnum and josh.c Thank this. -

Working with a Transportation Planner that worked for CHR for three years out of school. First off, that young kid you are talking to on the other end of the line is just that, a young kid just out of college making peanuts.
But more importantly he emphasized that they more than track what you have been willing to take loads for but have software that analyzes rates based on lanes. It was easy for them to see that someone was willing to take cheaper loads when trying to get home. But then they realized that you have people trying to get to other locations for better paying loads that may not be near their home. So they wanted to be able to spot those trends as well.
There is no one in the industry that is better at this than them. They are able to get the top rate from shipper and cheapest rate from the carrier. If you have hauled cheap for them, stop, be firm on your rate. It will take time but once you turn corner with them you have a good source of freight that can give you a decent rate on the day of or night before it is shipping.Winchester Magnum Thanks this. -
