At the border I think he's talking about.
-
Yes, you are correct.
Border crossing on each side. -
Oh,, LOL okay I thought you were referring to the Dumb Old Truckerpolice.....LOL
Thanks and peace -
He can't be kicked off of the force because he's already OFF of the force and has since retired. However, he now may lose his pension for twenty-seven years of service.Last edited: Jun 16, 2011

So you're suggesting he basically gets a slap on the wrist? If anything, precisely because of his 27-yrs of "service" (which should now be highly questionable), he should be held to a higher standard. Moreso than a non-LEO citizen, he would be acutely aware of the kind of damage to the individual victims and society his activities caused. Even worse, he was using enforcement assets to do it while he was being paid to "serve and protect." He had an obligation to protect, not victimize.outerspacehillbilly and Heirforce1 Thank this.

Part of your response is completely off based. If this officer had 127 yrs of service it doesn't detract from the fact he is held to a higher standard just like you are being in the military. Child porn is the lowest form of crime because children in their innocence are having their minds shaped in a negative fashion by these pyschos. It would've been better if that guy had used the $99 to rent a prostitute (In my opinion). Him losing his pension, registering as a sex offender and etc is fine however 60 days is unimaginable as being acceptable. A person accused of drug violations, b/e and other smaller crimes receive way longer sentances. Giving this person a pass like the crime wasn't that bad is unjust and he needs severe time same as other felons do. Not trying to incite with my opinion however he got away basically scott free. Just look at lockup raw and see what they do to cho-mo's (child molesters) and see why I'm upset. Just my 2cents! p.s. here's what he should've gotten--SheepDog, HF1LADY and outerspacehillbilly Thank this.

When I was on the road anything risque was left off my laptop. Still is for that matter.
To be labled a child molester in your precinct will do alot of damage. The other officers wont forget what a dirt bag he was. -
I was not the least bit worried.
But they became very concerned when I told them the computer could not leave my sight.
I had private tax files for 50 or so clients on the computer and had to make sure they did not get access to them.
Had them stumped. So, they let me go back with the computer. -
While I may not agree with your final statement, I do agree with everything else. I would like to see more of an even flo, so to speak, when it comes to making laws. I don't have a problem with each individual state setting the standard for their state but a lessor crime should not punish the individule more than an individule gets punished for a worse crime.
As far as the Officer and viewing pictures on the net... I was simply making my statements based on just that; An officer of the law, viewing child porn. I do not know what all the facts are of his paticular case and I really don't care. I was taking the person out of it and focusing on the Officer and what that Officer did... I never said the Officer should not be punished. If that Officer admitts to "viewing child porn" on his company supplied Laptop, than by all means, punish him accordingly.
Now, lets talk about children being tried as adults.....
