Just a heads up.
I know millions of drivers eat these in order to survive.
Just be careful what brand you buy, and where you buy them....

Is that what all these drivers are eating that makes them so fat?
-
I've eaten them in the military, when times are tough after getting out, and sometimes when I'm in a weird mood - I like beef with some cheese sprinkled around. That said, these things are like eating cardboard, from a nutritional aspect. In fact, I think someone without a lot of willpower would do better just eating at Wendys. You're hungry again in an hour, and then you go buy Pilot hot dogs... shoulda just had Wendys to begin with.
123456 and outerspacehillbilly Thank this. -
You mean pilot hot dogs aren't nutritional? Now ya tell me!

I was actually expecting more of a response from the fact that,
the article is from a saigon newspaper...........

it's too bad MRE's aren't more readily available, however, if one looks they can be found
-
ramen noodles modified are pretty good--kinda raid the fridge--and everything goes in--then the spice cupboard-- more often than not it turns out great--the other times---well --the dogs like it
-
You can usually get MREs in any military surplus store.. but they're expensive, since they're a novelty, and they're astronomically high in calories, since they're designed to feed really active people in bad climates and conditions... a sit-in-yer-butt trucker is looking to gain a bunch of weight by eating MREs... unless you have a buddy who can fire an M-60 over your head as you lowcrawl across the Pilot parking lot.
