USX drivers...how's your day??

So we dropped Fedex in Hollywood Florida this afternoon. We are now in South Florida getting loaded to head to Massachusetts. I love the hot weather but Anne is melting. I love it when we have no down time between loads.

 

Thanks Musicgal. They covered that in orientation today.....lol.

Day 1 is done. Time for bed.

My USX fam, how I missed u all. I'm having a blast out here with Anna(MusicGal)I got the best trainer everrrr. I don't want to let her go,lol,when I upgrade. So far I have about 67hrs..and I'm still being stingy and not letting Anna drive her new truck, muhaha,lol. Omg I can't believe how easy it is to learn this job. Everyday is an awesome adventure. My backing is getting there I actually find it easier when the tandems are slid all the way to the rear, weird I know,lol. Today I did just about did everything on my own as far as customer relations. Anna is such a great instructor and easy to work with, I hope her future trainees value her as much as I do. Safe travels fam!

 

ever have a bad day....?

well this is one, first a/c went out " did i say we are in san marcos, tx and it's 105 outside and only 120 comming out of the vents....!!!1

then we blow a trailer tire, so we sit with no a/c and have to wait for road service to come 75 miles to fix it when the ta is 14 miles away.....?

waiting for road service to show up (1hr 45min later) i find out the trailer is all f--ed up NO TAIL LIGHTS and two braces are broken (brace cut the light wires) so now we are at the ta waiting to get the a/c fixed and the lights fixed so we can take the mt trailer back 80 miles and drop it off for the rest of the repair and we need to get an mt so we can go to AL to pu a load comming back

just not a fun day

 

Well we finally made it to Colton, now we have to wait till tomorrow morning for them to fix or replace are DT.

 

their is a word for what i think of the drivertech but i can't post it.

that's the reason we had them put a xata in our truck

 

Well I was told by the guard in Colton that the shop opens at 7Am so I get up at 0630 to find out the shop is closed and the guy we need to talk to wont be untill 0930 local time. All that to find out first we have to go to Peterbilt to have the DT fixed and then we have to go to freightliner to have the front drive looked at because it is leaking. What a wasted day, I dont know why this could not have been set up yesterday. At least if anything the DT. I dont see getting back on the road today. I guess oh well welcome to trucking. I hope everyone else is having a good day.

 

Well we are setting in markham term. waiting to deliver. Im up to 56 hours. its going great. Marq. glad you are haveing a good time . till next time everyone be safe.
