The should do that, as desert is spreading. Leads to more famine and stuff. Mismanagement could be a blessing in disguise.

Wow, tazz you are a real piece of work.... An opinion is an opinion and everyone is entitled to that, Its unreal that you think because someone is against the eobr mandate is reckless and dangerous, although not surprising... Your one sided argument is Doing nothing but making yourself look stupid..
If you think EOBRs and government over regulation are so great then that is fine, go ahead bend over and take it, but Stop forcing your rediculous veiws on evryone and don't accuse everyone that is against it as a reckless dangerous driver that runs people off the road, kills families, and speeds through construction zones, cities, etc.. -
Well gee everyone is still avoiding one simple fact. All this "OVER REGULATIONS" "OVER REGULATIONS"
Well that is not quite accurate now is it? The elephant in the room is EOBR's enforce existing regulations. So I will stick with my original thought to the teeth nashers decrying the fall of trucking over not being able to lie, get over it.
That is all a EOBR or ELog does. Exactly the same thing you should be honest enough to do in a paper log book.
No much better to lie to cover dock time instead of charging for it. Place your word(Yes I understand how cheaply you hold it and your name) and your wallet in jeopardy just for the convenience of lying instead of doing your job.
And to the people further fabricating tales of being told when to sleep, please post the reg that says you must drive no matter how tired. Post the reg mandating you sleep.
Now do not post the HOS because the only, and I mean the only #### activity it regulates is your driving of a commercial motor vehicle. That is the only action named anywhere in the regulation. Where do you people come up with these fantasies? They tell me when to sleep???????
Matters not. Adapt or perish. That is your choice. -
Come on, Tazz.... all that time to think and that's the best you come up with??
-
And the people decrying the government regulating licenses, and standards for them. A question. Whom issued yours? Yes I know now they issue them like toilet paper, and lets not require actual driving skills or instruction prior to issuance, but I'm curious to know if they screwed up in giving you yours?
And whom would you want issuing the license and the regs? -
Can't wait to hear it. -
Dude, I'm not even participating in the debate... in fact, I barely know what you guys are talking about. I'm just getting a kick out of watching people have e-strokes and e-seizures.

I question the character of those who fear EOBR's because as far as I can make out they exist in a much easier form to manipulate now.
Now if you specifically asking about HOS I see no problem with existing regs. If you can not get your day done inside of 14 hours get better. It is that simple. I know how hard one must train to maintain reflexes(and after 14 hours it is more muscle memory than cognitive thought) up to 14 hours. I believe people used the split sleeper birth to hide dock time instaed of charging for it and reporting it on RODS. So did the FMCSA so we get the split we have now mandating 8 hours off duty.
I agree with all that. The 70 hour rule IMHO is silly. But you get unions involved in covering regs and you get silliness. Same as in the new regs we will have to have two periods of Midnight to Six am. Staright out of the mobs mouth.
We had driver whining in the comments they couldn't take a break so now we must stop(or will when the new rules are finalized) after 7 hours. Doesn't really effect me because I would have a break anyways but I chafe at them telling me I must take one. Really wish the whiners would have just stood up for them selves and taken their friggin break. We don't always get what we want now do we.
But hey much better response than the go f myself the teeth neshers could come up with I guess.
