Folks,
Do you always get your rig cleaned at the truck stops? If not or when it's time to deep-clean your truck, what's the best way to get on top of a tall sleeper and what products do you use to clean the front and top of all the bugs and bird ######?
Are there any products out there that remove bugs without a lot of scrubbing? How do you get up there at home?
thanks!
Own your own truck? How do you detail the top at home?

my old man used to climb on top the peterbilts and hand wash them. gets pretty slippery with the soap. lol I saw him slide off and land on his butt twice.
nothing easy about getting bugs off, especially love bugs. your from Ohio so you probably haven't learned the joys of the love bug yet -
Stand on top of the headache rack....

Find a DIY car wash that you can fit in that uses a good bug juice...open the hood stand on the engine and spray away.

Most automotive store sell bug juice removers... and we have truck washes to do the rest.... but I still wash my own on occasion.

Hubby uses this. Spray it on, let it soak, pressure wash off.

Get your mind out of the gutter.
Works well on the bird thumper, visor and grill. -
I don't wash my truck at home. freightliner paint gets so rough that it gets to the point where it won't even get clean without acid at the trk washes. and I #### sure aint buffing it out

A ladder and wash brush on a broom handle for the hard to get places. I usually wet the bugs first, then come back to them later. Once clean, in the spring, I use some wax-like stuff called Rejex on the surfaces bugs hit. Makes them come off much easier.
