know a guy who was in MFLD on a break and went out...met a girl from safety in the bar... drank .... went to another bar... ####faced... taxi back to the truck... seen puking middle of the nite by his trk... called into office in the morning and told someone reported him for pissing outside his trk, he said no it was puke... then they also heard he was out drinking and went to his trk... put on a 24 hr dispatch hold to sober up and told the policy is... if you go out and drink...DO NOT come back on the property drunk...definitely do not get in your trk and go to sleep... you know he looked and smelled like a drunk walking around the terminal

Lucky he wasn't sent in for reasonable suspiscion testing. He could have been.

I am surprised that they didn't get rid of you. They have zero tolerance for drinking and being in the truck. I got a single beer at a Pizza Hut one evening in Mauston, another driver called in that I was drinking and went back to the truck. I spent hours trying to assure safety that it was a single beer, that I didn't even finish, and that I went to the truck and took 12 hours in the bunk. I was told if it ever happened again, it was out the door.

Ppl don't know when or where they should drink mfld is the last place I would pick. And no offense but I don't trust ANYONE mainly other drivers at roehl.
thelastrebel Thanks this. -
That was one of things that drove me crazy there, all these rules but enforcement based off of how some dude in management is feeling that day.
-
Yep we call them hypocrits. Rules apply only when they so choose them to be against you lol
-
I'm not sure about that. They terminated two people in Operations at Marshfield last year because they got DUI's. The zero tolerance and adherence to safety seems to flow all the way to the top.

A dui is different than being seen. See a dui is on paper as far as a driver getting wasted and getting in a truck, well legally he didn't do anything wrong. And didn't really get caught. Like I said just use your head if u drink in mfld get a room at clearwater and make it a party. They just don't want drunk ppl on their property. It all falls back on common sense which is beginning to be non existent in our fleet.
